Kokomo - International Blues Music Day

It's International Blues Music Day again, the first Saturday of August. So blues 'n' roots favourites Kokomo will be gathering the troops for their annual celebration of the Blues.

After a spectacular Easter show at Tauranga's Baycourt Theatre during the National Jazz Festival this will be a chance to see the band in a more intimate setting as they explore blues of every stripe, from early earthy sounds of the Mississippi through East-Coast ragtime to the electric Chicago blues of Muddy Waters and others. And of course a little Kiwi blues for good measure.

Kokomo don't play in the Bay very often – Come see them play at The Arts Junction as they get their mojo on and dig into the music that first inspired them. It's going to be a rollicking night!
