Visible Mending Workshop

Visible mending is inspired by the Japanese art of Sashiko, a form of embroidery where fabric is patched and embellished with stitchery. It is about working with your favourite garments to fix imperfections, instead of sending them to landfill. In this workshop you will be shown several different methods of mending garments. You will have the opportunity to try some methods yourself. Please bring some garments and we will discuss different methods that would be most suitable to create a new look. Some threads and fabrics supplied, but you might like to bring some of your favourites.
